Mrs V Johnson complains (Mailbox, July 11) about the lack of support from other countries "in the wars against terrorism".

Isn't she aware that many countries support operations in Afghanistan and other "trouble spots" around the world? What countries such as modern-day Germany categorically don't do, is start or support illegitimate wars such as the Iraq war, and quite rightly so.
