Jazz: Join a very special celebration
Leicester Jazz House has devoted time to promoting events in the city for so long it has now reached its 25th anniversary,

.
Oddly, it's also their 15th anniversary (they started, ran out of money and gave up for a bit, then started again).
To celebrate, on Friday, March 19, it is putting on a very special event at the Richard Attenborough Centre featuring legendary pianist Stan Tracey and his trio.
Stan was resident pianist at Ronnie Scott's in the 60s, playing with the American greats, and developing his own style, building on Ellington and Monk.
His Under Milk Wood album, the first British jazz record to break away from following US styles, is still the biggest-selling UK jazz album. His career still goes from strength to strength. £12 (£10) sees you in; book in advance on (0116) 252 2455 as this will sell out.
