Joe Mattock can handle the stick on Leicester City return – Roberto Di Matteo
West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo is convinced Joe Mattock will be able to handle the hostile reception he is set to receive on his return to the Walkers Stadium tomorrow.
The 19-year-old left back joined the Baggies from Leicester City in the summer after demanding a transfer, and then upset the Blue Army further by stating he thought Albion were better placed to fulfil his ambitions.

The Leicester-born teenager added that he felt he had achieved everything he could at the newly-promoted club, despite having only been involved in the first team for a couple of seasons after emerging from John Rudkin's academy system.
Cliff Ginnetta, City supporters' club chairman, said on Wednesday that Mattock is likely to be a target for the home supporters. However, Di Matteo, who replaced Tony Mowbray as Albion boss in the summer, is convinced Mattock will be able to handle whatever is thrown at him.
"It can go either way," said the Italian.
"It can give you a big boost to play against them or it can get you down and suppress you.
"Personality-wise, I'm sure he can handle it. He is quite a brave boy."
Di Matteo has been pleased with Mattock's contribution since arriving at The Hawthorns for a fee that could rise to as high as £2 million.
Following the departure of Paul Robinson to Bolton Wanderers, Albion were keen to recruit a ready-made replacement and Di Matteo believes Mattock has the ability to become a Hawthorns favourite.
"We were looking for a solid left-back and I think we got a solid left-back," he said.
"He is a great defender who gets involved in the offensive action and I think he will get better with playing games and adding experience.
"He is only 19. I am pretty happy with the progress he has made."
Di Matteo has admitted he hasn't been surprised with the impressive way Leicester have started the season.
City can leapfrog Albion, one of the promotion favourites, with victory tomorrow and could even move into the automatic promotion places.

“He blatently wasn't average......first team place at 18......england under 21s. Think he may have been the youngest ever to play for them or something.
I am a leicester fan, but i cant really understand the anamosity.
The nature in which he left was a bit annoying, but its done now and he is only a young lad.
He probably did have a better prospect of playing premiership at west brom when he joined them, and he probably still does.”

“Yes, he made an un-informed decision which he might (hopefully) come to regret. Hope we don't boo him though. Always good to see local lads doing well for themselves in anything.”
