It's been a fantastic first two years for Hamilton Youth FC – just ask the players!

The club has celebrated its second anniversary and is going from strength to strength, working with the local community to provide football opportunities at Gateway College and the Emerald Centre.

"Hamilton Youth means a lot to me because I have improved my football and made lots of friends," said Harvin Singh, aged six.

"It is an inspiring place to be and has achieved things for me such as confidence, friendship and focus," added 11-year-old Arjun Mistry.

And Ben Culpin, aged 11, said: "Hamilton Youth gives me the chance to practice for my dream and it gives me the chance for my dream to come true."

It is a ringing endorsement for what the coaches and parents have achieved in such a short space of time.

"The club continues its remarkable journey and, in the two years, we have seen hundreds of kids through our door playing the sport they love," said secretary Rhai Popat.

"It has been overwhelming at times the support we continue to receive from the community as we all endeavour to push the club forward. We will continue to do so in order to allow children from every background to come and play out their passion."

The club holds training sessions on Saturdays at Gateway College and the Emerald Centre for youngsters in the under-seven to 15 age groups.
