KITTED OUT!
A private business is doing its bit for the Big Society by supporting the workers of tomorrow.
Pochin, a Leicester family plumbing and heating trade supplier, has kitted out more than 100 new learners on Leicester College's plumbing, electrical and building services courses with boiler suits and boots.

As well as donating clothing, the Pochin has also subsidised the students' tool kits as part of its partnership with the college.
Last year, as part of its expansion plans, the company opened a new showroom 50 yards from its old premises off St George's Way, on the Leicester inner ring road.

David Pochin, managing director of the sixth-generation family firm, studied at Charles Keene College, a forerunner of Leicester College.
He said: "We are very proud to support the college and to kit these young people out in style as they start their training.
"As they become the next generation of plumbing, heating and electrical apprentices, it is fitting that Leicestershire's leading independent plumbing and heating merchant is behind them.
"They will gain excellent skills and valuable experience at the college and as they begin work with the many local firms in the sector, most of whom are Pochin customers.
"So it is great we can support them from the outset."
Neil McManus, the college's programme area manager for electrical, plumbing and built environment, said: "Thanks to Pochin's support, the learners will be using great tools and kit from day one, both in their college lessons and when they go out on work experience.
"It's a statement to them and to the industry that these learners mean business."
Pochin's Chris Cairns and Tyler Draycott have helped hand out the tool kits and boiler suits to the new learners.
Student Daniel Caetano, 18, from Glen Parva, said: "I'm really looking forward to the course."
Earlier in the summer, Pochin sponsored Leicester College's 2012 Construction Awards.
The business has been supplying plumbers in the region for 150 years and now has eight trade counters and showrooms.
Pochin is the only company authorised to sell the Aga brand of cookers in Leicestershire and Rutland.
The opening of its bathroom and Aga showroom, in William Street, Leicester, last December was part of a £4 million investment in the county and East Midlands over the past six years.
