Bosworth Christmas Fayre. This evening's Advent Christmas Fayre at Bosworth Battlefield has had to be cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. The county council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

Beaumont Leys Community Meeting due to take place tonight at 6.30pm has been cancelled. The meeting will be rescheduled.

Leicester City Council has announced that the Leicestershire Primary Schools Cross Country race, due to be held this weekend, has been cancelled due to the snow.

The event, which was due to take place on Saturday, December 4 at 9.30am, in Western Park, has now been re-scheduled for Saturday, January 22.

Meanwhile, North West Leicestershire District Council has said its services have experienced limited disruption. To date, no waste and recycling collections have been cancelled but some collections may be missed due to unpassable roads. They said that if bin collections are missed customers are advised to leave bins out and they will be collected in due course. Most other services are operating as usual.
