“How to save billions and wipe out the deficit. If we had a Government with guts you could have just 3 pay grades for all council workers: £12,000pa for standard operatives, £18,000pa for team leaders and £24,000 for heads and managers. No pension, expenses or using work's time for union activities. 5 year time limit for every public sector worker in office to avoid corrupt practises.
These people form a status quo that needs to be challenged. Their priority should be reducing the council tax burden for hard pressed workers, not giving themselves nice titles and positions. There are 1000's of people who would apply for these positions even at the low rates.”

“No one should be on a Salary more than the Mayor and he is on £10.000 more than he is worth”

“You may have a got a letter from our glorious mayor recently where he claims that there had to be a rise in council tax (even for those on very low income) to pay for so called 'essential services'. Do 459 town hall staff on more than £50,000 + pension + perks really constitute to 'essential services'?”

“In addition to the top heavy structure that exists simply to inprove the bank balances of these so called highly skilled leeches we have below them 83 - that's 83 - 'Heads of' roles. 83!
This Council is being run for the benefit of a few and is bleeding us dry”

“Lets give them all a 20% pay cut,as well as clowncillors and let them all go on strike.
Then we would see if they are missed .”

“I am impressed by Leicester City Council. More than half of their top salary receivers are female.”

“Ok. Apparently you'd rather be part of the problem.
Incidentally, it's "ethnically". I for one wouldn't like to judge who is or is not ethical by their name.”

“Strange that in an overwhelmingly ethnic city there is only one ethically sounding name on this list. Nothing new here. Clearly these people are not representative of the city.
Also most of them are women. Surely that's sexist?”

“Are they going to publish the rest of the 459 town hall staff members earning more than £50,000?”
