Speaking about Pearson's win, panel member Alan Curbishley commented: "It's been a fantastic month for Nigel Pearson with Leicester City winning all of their games whilst also scoring freely in the npower Championship.
"The Foxes are now in a great position as we approach the business end of the season."

“Thanks Alan appreciated. Glad you are still around ff1 I hope the daughter now well recovered.
No need to worry about the manager of the month curse we've received it in kind these last two games. If their was a Muppet of the month award Nigel would have no competition in February.”

“Nigella...I needed a good laugh & you never fail to deliver in that department ...
(Quote) "Yes Dobby, but common sense dictates that you should at least agree with your own views!" (Unquote)....
Wasn't it you that said at the beginning of the week that you'd rather win the cup than get promotion to the premiership?......and then a day later stated that you were glad we were out? Just saying....”

“I believe that Nigel deserved the manager of the month trophy. I also believe Chris Wood deserved player of the month for the tally of goals he bagged for us. Dobbo you are right and are entitled to your views whether they be right to some, and wrong with others. In fact every one is right to voice their opinions. Whether or not they are right or wrong, so let's not fight over one supporters opinion. Let's be proud of where we are in the League and who got us where we are.”

“Yes Dobby but common sense dictates that you should at least agree with your own views!
At the moment your view is that the buck stops with the manager when we lose, but that when we win its simply because of one player's contribution.
That doesn't really stand up as a "view", more of a "nonsense" if you ask me, Squire.”

“FoxUlike your view not mine. I see no ruling on here that I have to mirror anyone else's views. I can read and respect them but don't have to agree. The team are as rudderless and ineffective without him now as they were beginning to become prior to his arrival when the dip in form of David Nugent was making end results impotent. The team were playing well and creating chances for the other sub par strikers to squander just as they have all season. It was obvious we could not rely on David all season and that was starting to show with results. The team was playing well but in case you haven't noticed goals= results= points. Playing well alone achieves nothing in the end. I respect your views but were they the views of Nigel Pearson we would get nowhere and he'd be out of a job.”

“Dobby, I know you come out with some nonsense, but today you have excelled yourself. Who do you really support?”

“Errrr Dobby, just to repeat Ash's point which seems to have gone completely over your head: Nigel Pearson SIGNED Chris Wood, and put him in the team.
Wood isn't this amazing magical player who has transformed a poor side into an unbeatable one. He's a good player who fits in with the players around him. This isn't co-incidence, or luck, or magic – but good team-building by the man in charge.
Pearson has built a team in which each player's strengths and weaknesses compliment the other players around them. For example, James and Drinkwater, Morgan and Keane, Nugent and Wood.
The team is where it is because of Pearson. You were very quick to acknowledge this fact last season when we weren't doing so well. "The buck stops with the manager" etc. Remember all that?
Why then, when we are doing well, do you contrive to place the credit for this success to a single player who has played just 4 of the 30 games that have put us third in the table this season?”

“Nonsence Ash all I'm saying is that Pearson is only as he is right now because of Wood. Without him Pearson is nothing. He could not motivate a team with players who did not deserve to play. He cared nothing for the CUP and he cared nothing for YOU or anyone else. He may well be a capable manager in many ways but his ego out weighs everything else. that includes you, the Club and the owners. Ot will even be more inflated now he has this award.”

“Dobbo, that is exactly why he is manager of the month, because he signs players who then play for him, he made a very shrewd signing in Chris Wood, am I missing the point or did somebody else become manager whilst Chris Wood signed, actually even my 10 year old daughter laughed at that comment you just posted, she's sitting here scratching her head, saying he is probably very young and struggles to understand what a manager of a football team does, hahaha”
