The other contenders in the player category are Brighton's Bruno Saltor and Palace's Glenn Murray.
The winners will be announced later today.
Meanwhile, Paul Gallagher looks set to stay at Sheffield United on loan for a second month.
Blades boss Danny Wilson said he was hopeful of agreeing a second loan with City for Gallagher by this weekend.
"I'm hoping it will be done before the weekend," said Wilson.
"I think Paul's starting to show exactly why we brought him here in the first place.
"He was a little bit rusty early on in the games with us, but now he's settling into the role that we'd like him to play and getting an understanding of the players around him."

“Considering it was announced on Friday morning on Sky that the awards had gone to Crystal Palace, I wonder how this piece of no news was published today.”

“Hope you both get it. Morgan has been a rock and hit another level. He will get an England call soon if he keeps this up.”
