Leicester City duo in frame for monthly awards
Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson and striker Chris Wood will discover today whether they have won the Championship manager and player of the month awards respectively.
The pair have been shortlisted for the awards after City's superb form in January.
Pearson is nominated after City won four consecutive Championship games during the month.
They hammered Hudders-field 6-1, thumped Bristol City 4-1 at Ashton Gate, and completed tight home victories against Middlesbrough and Wolves.

Wood made an instant impact at the King Power Stadium after his arrival from West Brom on New Year's Day, scoring five league goals during the month.
The New Zealander scored twice on his debut against Huddersfield and followed that up by bagging a hat-trick at Bristol.
He faces competition from Burnley defender Jason Shackell and Watford striker Matej Vydra.
Meanwhile, a new date is being sought for City under-18s' FA Youth Cup fixture at Hull after the fifth-round tie was postponed because of snow on Wednesday night.
The tie was due to be played at North Ferriby United's Grange Lane ground.
