Leicester City must keep hold of Matty Fryatt, says Richie Wellens
Richie Wellens has urged Leicester City to resist the temptation to cash in on prized asset Matty Fryatt.
The City midfielder believes there will be plenty of interest in striker Fryatt when the transfer window opens in January, but has called for the club not to sell.

Wellens, who joined the club from Doncaster Rovers during the summer, believes it would be more financially astute to hang on to the 23-year-old marksman, who has scored 10 goals so far this season and 32 during the League One championship-winning campaign.
The former Manchester United trainee said the cash rewards of promotion would outweigh any short-term financial gain and picked out Fryatt as a key man to getting into the Premier League.
"If you score goals then they are the ones who will get all the attention" said Wellens.
"They get paid the most and demand the most transfer fees so come January I am sure there will be interest.
"The club will want to keep him because he can easily score 30 goals for us this year and, if he does, then there is every chance we can get promoted.
"If we do, the money the club will get through promotion will be more than we would have got for Matty.
"He is a top player. He can finish. He can spend 70 minutes out of the game and then pop up with a goal.
"I am sure he would be worth a few quid if he went in January."
Wellens has also confessed he feels City have not played to striker Steve Howard's strengths this season and helped him break his goal duck.
The 33-year-old has been dropped to the bench recently after failing to find the target but Wellens believes he is still one of the best centre forwards in the Championship.
"He could have got a few goals early on and was unfortunate," said the City midfielder. "He had a few chances he should have took and missed the penalty against Swansea.
"You know what you are going to get from Steve. He is one of the best targetmen in the league.
"Sometimes we can help him more as a team. He gets too many straight balls where they are just fighting balls.
"We can get it down and get it wide, and get some crosses in. That would show him in a better light.
"He has been tremendous when he has come on.
"He gets a little bit angry when he isn't playing but that is great to have.
"He has played in the Premier League, he has won promotion from this league and he still has the fire in his belly to want to play every week."
Former Barwell skipper Scott Clamp has been appointed as player-manager of Loughborough Dynamo.
Clamp succeeds John Folwell, who stepped down last week after 18 months in the role at the Unibond One club.
