City have now won all four of their home matches in the Championship this season but are yet to pick up a point away from home, having lost all three of their away fixtures.

They now face two away clashes in quick succession when they travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday followed by a trip to Huddersfield on Tuesday.

Drinkwater believes their win against an in-form team like Hull will give them the confidence to pick up the results away from home.

"There's been no doubt in our minds that we can win away from home," he said.

"Our performances have been just as good as the ones at home, it's just a matter of picking the three points up when we need them.

"Our home form has been massively consistent, we've won every game we've played, it's just about changing the away games, and we will do that as soon as we can.

"I was happy with my performance at the weekend, but the important thing was to get the three points. It was a good win and a vital win at the right time."

Drinkwater linked well with Anthony Knockaert on Sunday, and the midfielder paid tribute to the young Frenchman's impressive start.

"He's always looking for the ball, which helps me as a player, and he's very easy to play with," said Drinkwater.

"He's learning well and also adapting to the defensive side of things, too.

"If he keeps playing as he has been doing, I'm sure the fans will love him."
