Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel says City can regain top form
Kasper Schmeichel believes Leicester City can recover from their recent blip.
Two weeks ago, City were sitting second in the Championship. But surprise defeats at the hands of Peterborough and Charlton, coupled with Hull's recent good run, has seen them lose substantial ground in the race for promotion.

Even though they are nine points behind the top two, Schmeichel said City must not throw in the towel and that they were still in great shape going into the final third of the season.
However, he also warned they had to hit top form quickly to avoid slipping back into the pack, starting at Bloomfield Road this afternoon.

"It would be foolish to start panicking now," said the Denmark international.
"We are still in a good position, we are still in the hunt and have two games in hand, which we have to make count.
"Things like this happen in the Championship and they don't just happen for us, they will happen to the other teams.
"We have to start hitting top form and I hope it proves to be a bit of a wake-up call for us to show we are in such a good position in the table and we can't let that slip."
Schmeichel said City must rediscover the form that saw them win all four of their Championship games in January, and quickly.
"We had a little spell after our last winning streak when the international break came and we struggled to hit the same high notes then," he said.
"I think we have given ourselves a mountain to climb in some of the games and left ourselves a little too much to do. That comes from us wanting to win and go forward.
"It is disappointing but there are 45 points still to play for so it is by no means over
"All we can do is focus on ourselves. We can only play our own games not anyone else's, and whatever happens around us we have to keep ticking over and keep picking up points. It can all quickly change again.
"These next two months are extremely busy and that is great. They are the types of months you enjoy playing when the games come thick and fast.
"The games we have won we have been resilient and scored goals. I am sure we will get back to that."

“Kasper says "Things like this happen in the Championship and they don't just happen for us, they will happen to the other teams....."
Then let's start by putting it right at Bloomfield Road and stay focused on your main job. Last year we blew a late 3-2 lead at the seaside and we don't want a repeat of that performance.”

“Didn't you say something along those lines after the Peterborough game Kasper? Like,
"We can't let the same thing happen that happened when we were last in 2nd place."
Well it has happened hasn't it mate! Let's hope that come 5 o'clock this afternoon that your actions have spoken louder than your words and we come away from the seaside with 3 points. If not I'll be interested to hear what you and or your teamates have to say before Blackburn come to the KP on Tuesday. Will that be similar to the comments before the Charlton game last Tuesday? Which didn't acheive a greatdeal now did it? Once you cross that white line its down to you players, not NP, to perform and win the game.”

“'Can recover'.....don't you mean 'must recover'.”
