Leicester City's rearranged home Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers has now been pencilled in for Tuesday, February 26.

City were due to face Rovers at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, February 16.

However, Blackburn will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the FA Cup fifth round on that weekend.

City may also have a possible fifth round tie against Premier League Wigan Athletic on that date as well, if they overcome Huddersfield Town in their replay on Tuesday, February 12.

If either side are involved in a cup replay following their fifth round ties, that will take precedent over the league game.

The date for Blackburn visit would then be Tuesday, March 12, at 7.45pm.

City have said tickets already purchased for the game will be valid for the rearranged date, although refunds can be obtained from the City Fanstore .

A date for City's Championship trip to Cardiff City, which will need to be rearranged due to FA Cup replay against Huddersfield, will be confirmed shortly.

City's replay with Huddersfield has been chosen for live screening by ESPN and will now kick-off at the earlier time of 7.30pm.

“sickening decision to move a top of the table clash with Cardiff, in favour of a meaningless cup replay. Whats more important, gaining promotion or the meaningless fa cup? Pearson was right to field a weakened team on saturday. League games should take priority over spurious cup games!”
