Leicester Race for Life events postponed due to bad weather
The Race for Life events due to take place this weekend in Leicester have been postponed because of the weather.
The races on Saturday (10K and 5K events) and Sunday (5K event) at Western Park have been cancelled by the organisers "due to dreadful weather conditions".
The new dates for the events are Saturday, July 21 (10k and 5k) and Sunday, July 22 (5k).
The events raise money for Cancer Research UK.

“@The Suit. I think you will find it has less to do with current weather conditions and more to do with the state of the ground. It was a lovely evening yesterday but the leicester races were still cancelled because the going was too soft. Western Park would be like a ploughed field after the run.”
