It was good to keep our winning streak rolling last Saturday against London – a game everyone was expecting us to win easily, but for which we needed to be focused and professional to ensure the victory.

I had the chance to scout London recently and their team has changed significantly since their last visit to the John Sandford.

Their interior play, in particular, had come on in leaps and bounds. But we were ready and, after some adjustments, coped reasonably well. We were never going to get close to the previous record-winning margin but, in the end, did a lot of good things to adjust and contain their big guys.

Once again, we can thank solid performances from our big guns, Bradd Wierzbicki and Jason Johnson, who continue to show they are among the top 10 players in the BBL.

But another player who is really standing out for me is Isaac Westbrooks. When Tack Minor left at Christmas, many pundits thought Riders would struggle, but Isaac has helped answer the doubters by spreading the ball, and getting everyone involved.

He had another 10 assists in 28 minutes for us on Saturday and that really helps with team play.

We have a test of real endurance this weekend when we face a difficult double-header. Travelling to Plymouth on Friday night will be a marathon and the Raiders, after a poor start, blighted by injuries, are now back in much better form.

We know we must play well right from the off to quieten their fans and to stay in control, if we are to come away with anything. At full strength, at home, the Raiders are a match for anyone in the BBL.

If we can survive that test, we then face Glasgow Rocks at the John Sandford on Saturday in a crucial play-off game.

The Rocks handled us pretty easily when they visited in January and are just above us in third spot in the table.

They have one of the best back court tandems in the BBL in Rob Yanders and Jessie Sapp, leading the BBL in three-point shooting percentage, and containing those two will be vital to our chances.

We were really disappointed with our performance last time, which was among our poorest since Christmas, so we have plenty to prove.

But we have only three home games left in the regular season and need to make every one count if we are going to secure home advantage in the playoffs. There is no greater incentive, so we will be looking forward to it.
