Leicester Riders' Ayron Hardy has again been recognized for his exceptional play by being selected for the BBL Team of the Week.

It is Hardy's eighth appearance, more than any other player, in the Team of the Week.

Hardy made six of seven shots inside for the Riders in their 99-96 last minute win against Milton Keynes Lions on Friday.

He also made all of his five free-throws, as well as a three pointer, to show his versatility on his way to a 20 point haul. Perhaps most impressively of all, Hardy finished with six assists to help keep Jelson Homes DMU backed Riders' title tilt firmly on track.

Rider's coach Rob Paternostro said: "Ayron does it for us week in and week out, and does everything very quietly and very efficiently.

"It was a fabulous team effort, and, of course, Cameron Rundles came up with the big shots, but I know Cameron just loves having Ayron as a team mate on the end of his passes.

"For a rookie in the BBL, Hardy's performances have just been exceptional".

Completing the team of the Week are Joe Chapman, of the Newcastle Eagles, his fifth successive appearance, along with team mate Andy Thomson, and Carlos Fernandez and Richie Gordon of the Worcester Wolves.

Riders meet the Glasgow Rocks at the John Sandford Centre on Saturday aiming to make up for a shock 87-82 home loss to the Rocks in January.
