Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill says the players who failed against Exeter Chiefs will have the chance to wrong their rights against Saracens tomorrow.

But he admits that is more due to his limitations because of international call-ups than a reluctance to shake up his troops.

He has made just three changes, and all are enforced, with backs Matt Smith and James Grindal replacing the injured Alesana Tuilagi and Sam Harrision, and Samoa prop Logovi'i Mulipola making his league debut instead of the suspended Julian White.

Toby Flood, Manu Tuilagi and Thomas Waldrom are again back in the fold after being released by England.

But England have retained Ben Youngs, Dan Cole, Tom Croft and Geoff Parling ahead of their Six Nations clash with Wales at Twickenham next weekend.

Cockerill blasted his side after the 19-11 defeat at Exeter last weekend as they shipped 13 points in the final 25 minutes. It ended an eight game unbeaten run going back to October 8.

But he said: "We are limited to what we can do, so that means the lads who didn't perform well at Exeter will be asked to put it right.

"During the past two decades, certainly when I have been involved, you have poor days and that is the way the game goes sometimes.

"We were only two points down and should have kept our composure and played ourselves back into the game.

"It was a disappointing result and it is probably more my responsibility than anyone elses.

"But now we need to go to Saracens and try to get a win and a bonus point. We have to accept that not getting points at Exeter may well come back to bite us on the backside."

Cockerill said there had been a positive mood in training following the players' own clear-the-air talks on Monday.

He added: "We also have to go to Saracens in the same positive frame of mind. We have discussed where we need to be better and the players, to be fair, have taken a lot of the blame on themselves, as we have."

Fourth-placed Tigers are a point clear Exeter and a point behind Northampton, but there is a 12-point gap to second-placed Saracens, who beat Tigers in last season's Grand Final.

Cockerill said: "There is no point in going there and being afraid. We have to match the challenge."

Saracens, who are without five England players, including their entire midfield, are bidding for a fifth successive win against Tigers. They have made two changes, recalling hooker Schalk Brits and scrum-half Neil de Kock.
