Leicester City will be looking to improve their mixed fortunes at London Road when they travel to take on Peterborough United tomorrow.

While City have only lost one of eight meetings between the two sides on home soil, they have only claimed two victories in seven league visits, and only scored six goals at Posh's home venue.

Colin Appleton and James Goodfellow were City's scorers when they overcame Posh in a League Cup replay in January 1965 – City's first visit to London Road.

But they then had to wait until April 2010 for their next win when Andy King scored the winner in a 2-1 Championship victory.

City lost twice at London Road, 3-0 in the league and 2-1 in the League Cup, during the 1992-93 season, although a 2-0 victory in the home leg saw City progress in the cup.

City grabbed a point in the league after a 1-1 draw the following season, although City's strike came courtesy of an own goal. They didn't meet again until the 2008-09 League One campaign when City went down 2-0 at London Road.

Paul Taylor's winner for Posh against City in March last year virtually killed off any lingering play-off hopes for Nigel Pearson's men and they will be hoping their promotion challenge doesn't falter in Cambridgeshire again.

There has been one other meeting, an Anglo-Italian Cup qualifier in August, 1993, which also ended in a 4-3 defeat.

“I'd take the1-0 too even in off the refs a.. All I'm saying is there is little to no chance of not taking three points and anything other is a total disgrace. This lot will struggle in division 1 next season. Huddersfield only managed a draw against a team that looked like NP had dreamed up in his sleep. Huddersfield are way way better than Boro. Why then is it a silly post. The only silly thing is doubting just how good Leicester are with Nugent and Wood on the pitch together. Most of the games we have drawn and some we have lost would have been won had Wood been around at those times.”

“Dob - Why are you on a constant cycle of 4 pathetic posts followed by one good one? To say that auto promotion is a pipe dream if we dont win tomorrow is ridiculous. We are second and would have another 16 games to go. I think you only write the nonsense you write, just to get people going.

Tomorrow is certainly not going to be easy. Like i said on another story today, if you offered me a 1-0 win with a dodgy penalty in the last minute i would take that right now.”

“Lets hope Nigel sends out a very attack minded formation tomorrow as attack is the best form of defence!!!
We definately need to win this one, 0-2 to City!!!!!!”

“Agree we should knock the Posh of. Although they have a canny knack of taking big scalps at London Road. Let's hope we can put them to bed before the break.”

“Lets face it if we can't get 3 points in this one automatic is a pipe dream. It's a no brainer. The LM are desperate for something to publish. Having said that we don't want to see a keystone cops set up like we put out in the Cup match. If we are going to play that kind of team any potential travelling fans should be told about it so as to waste money on something else if they wish to.”
