Two Leicester men in court over Welby farm 'burglary'
Two men are due to appear in court charged with burglary after an incident at a remote farm in Welby, near Melton, in which shots were fired.
The two Leicester men, aged 27 and 33, were charged with burglary by Leicestershire police and have been remanded in custody to appear at Loughborough Magistrates’ Court today.
Two other men, who were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Married man Andy Ferrie, 35, and his wife Tracey, 43, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the alleged break-in, after which Mr Ferrie told police he had shot two of four intruders.

Mr Ferrie fired the legally-owned shotgun when he and his wife were disturbed at their isolated farm in the early hours of Sunday.
On Tuesday night they were bailed by police, pending further inquiries.
