Trader Andy Halstead, who had travelled from Accrington in Lancashire, said: "This is a really good fair. The organises do a lot of work to make
sure plenty of collectors turn-up. Which is not easy because they can be quite lazy these days, thanks to the internet and sites like Ebay. "
Andy, whose most valuable item for sale on the day was a Japanese Metallica LP for £400, said there was still a huge market for vinyl.
He advised anyone looking to get their own collection valued to buy the Rare Record Price Guide, or a similar publication.
The VIP Music fair returns to the Y Theatre again on May 18, October 26 and December 14.
Admission is £2 and the fair runs from 10am - 3.30pm.

“@prog_rock_fan....yes, but you can more than save that by attending and not buying off Ebay and paying postage charges...that is if you were interested in buying another if you went in!”
