Leicester vs Burnley: Foxes hit back against Burnley
Leicester produced a strong second-half comeback to see off Burnley 2-1 and keep their 100 per cent home record in the npower Championship intact.
The Foxes, whose three away games have ended in defeat, were up against it when Dean Marney fired in an early opener to give Burnley the lead.

But David Nugent levelled matters with the second half only two minutes old, finishing from close range before Jamie Vardy scored his first home goal for the club with a neat finish to seal the points 10 minutes later.
The win sees Nigel Pearson's side climb nine places in the table and all of a sudden their outlook for the season looks more promising.

For Burnley, who hit the post late on, it was a third defeat on the road and with a trip to Derby coming on Saturday, boss Eddie Howe will be looking for a quick cure to their travel sickness.
Pearson made three changes to his Leicester side has he looked for a response from Sunday's defeat at Wolves, while Burnley were unable to call on Charlie Austin, who bagged a hat-trick at the weekend, as he was unable to shake off a knock.
The Clarets did not miss their top scorer too much as they burst into a 10th-minute lead.
It had been the hosts that had made the early running, but when Martin Paterson broke down the right, his cut-back was perfect for Marney to crash in his second of the season from 10 yards.
Leicester probed for an immediate response that their home fans demanded, but they came up against a Burnley defence in no mood to give anything away and Ben Marshall's effort from 20 yards, which stung the hands of Lee Grant, was the Foxes only moment of promise.
The hosts were eventually able to build a bit of pressure and they went close to levelling when Anthony Knockaert's deflected effort went just wide of Grant's post.
They came even closer shortly after when Nugent rattled the woodwork with a curling effort from distance as Burnley survived to the break with their lead intact.
But their survival did not last long into the second half as Leicester got their reward and it was Nugent who did the damage with his first goal of the season.
Marshall hurled a long throw into the area, Vardy flicked on and Nugent pounced to bundle home from close range.
And Leicester completed the turnaround 10 minutes later when Vardy got in on the action, turning from Knockaert's pass and firing in from a narrow angle.
Burnley searched for a leveller, but in doing so they left themselves open to counter attack and Grant had to be alert to keep out a Danny Drinkwater effort.
The visitors came within inches of levelling in the final 10 minutes when Sam Vokes latched onto a loose ball, but his snatched effort grazed the post.
But it was Leicester who finished the stronger and Knockaert and Lloyd Dyer were both off target as it ended 2-1.

“Our problems are not with the strikers we have. They are more than capable of getting the goals we need. Yes they missed a few chances but that's the way it goes some times. Confidence plays a big part. Vardy is going to hit double figures this season when he gets into his stride. Hopefully Nugent will now start banging them in. Beckford and Futacs can score goals.
Our problems are still defensive. We need fullback cover and challenge for places!”

“'The Trees have got Billy Sharp on loan for example - a quality finisher in this division for sure. Pearson thinks our squad is good enough - it isn't'
Billy Sharp was on his way to Leicester on a season long loan on transfer deadline day before the Trees stepped in at the last minute and scuppered the deal. Their Manager, S.O.D, used to be Sharps manager at Doncaster so thats why he went there and the Beckford move to Huddersfield was pulled.”

“who said i was a miserable git?? Its the way i tell em.
Pearson has the strikers in for training "Now look you lot i realise that none of you could hit the Hoover Dam with a proper shot so heres the plan. Now we have found that we can hit the target with scuffed shots or deflections thats what we are going to practice"
"Thisll fix it Craig"”

“YorkY yes sure he is good at motivation i.e. " Now get this Dyer i want you to to run your balls off first half. I realise you will be knackered by half time but then again you always are. Then ill sub you"
" How about that for motivation eh Craig" And "Now De Laet i know you and Konny have been playing naff lately and couldnt mark a clothes line but better luck this time out"
"They say i aint got man management skills eh Craig. They know .... all"”

“DeckerDecker
I'm not advocating that Pearson should have got Bill Sharp on loan. But I am advocating that he should be using the loan market to bolster our squad”

“Any win will do Dobby.
I am bringing 3 friends (Hull and Leeds fans) down to the match on Sunday so I hope I can drive back up to Yorkshire with another home win under the belt.
I don't care what part of the anatomy they come off, I just want us to be more solid at the back.
It sounds like Pearson and Shakey found out on Wednesday that if they change tactics slightly when in play we can actually make things go right again.
Revelations of this nature do give hope that they might try it more often when they get the initial starting line-up wrong and we go 2-0 down before half time.”

“exactly true foxUlike its like Napolean at Waterloo splitting his forces and leavng 30,000 troops to keep Blucher at bay which they didnt. Then releasing the old guard too late. History is about these key decisions.
Mind you im not too keen on snails or garlic.”

“Yorkie I think that the topic has been long exhausted. There's only so many ways you can **** off a manager who has won his last game!
As Dobby will tell you I am 'confrontational and self-opinionated'. I have an opinion on EVERYTHING, hence the digressions.
BURTON: Would you roll that dice???”

“Any half decent Leicester player who is not in the first team is going to be unhappy. That is a fact of who we are. People are happy to bide their time at big clubs but we don't have that luxury. We aren't big enough to have a deep squad. Sad but true. So Danns and Beckford are unhappy.
This of course is translated to mean that Pearson is a poor man manager whose only talent is annoying all the players in his squad.
Can people please stop talking about Billy Sharp please, Pearson tried to get him in here last January and the guy said no. End of. Why would you have another try at signing someone who VERY PUBLICALLY slapped you in the face less than 12 months ago.
@HappyFox you are exactly right, this is not an Orwellian state and people can say what they like. And here is what I like. I am sick of hearing from nay-sayers who insist on constantly carping on about the manager. Match by match we get it, and I am hearily fed up of hearing about it. These - in my opinion - are not informed views, based on evidence - they are prejudices that we heard before the season started, then again after one match, then two, then three...
You might think with Pearson in charge we haven't got much chance of getting up. I tell you what, lets sack ANOTHER manager in October, and make DAMN SURE we don't get up.”
