Leicester will check on Paul Konchesky ahead of Sheffield Wednesday's visit to the King Power Stadium.

Konchesky was replaced at half-time during the Foxes' 1-1 home draw against Leeds on Tuesday night after complaining of tightness in his hamstring.

The experienced left-back underwent a scan on Wednesday and manager Nigel Pearson is awaiting the results.

Should Konchesky miss out, Pearson is expected to opt for Lloyd Dyer at left-back after the winger replaced him against Leeds. However, Jeff Schlupp could come back into the squad

Striker Schlupp, who is currently the subject of negotiations between Leicester and Manchester United about a possible move to Old Trafford in the summer after impressing during a month-long trial at the Barclays Premier League leaders, has been used as a makeshift left-back on several occasions this season.

Midfielder Matty James will also require a late check having missed the last four games with a knee problem.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke is doubtful for the game.

Coke sustained a foot injury in the midweek defeat at Watford and was replaced just before half-time by Jose Semedo.

Semedo is likely to return to the starting line-up if Coke fails to make it.

Defender Reda Johnson remains sidelined after missing the last six matches with an ankle injury, but manager Dave Jones has no other new injury or suspension worries.

Striker Leroy Lita, on loan from Swansea, and winger Jermaine Johnson were both second-half substitutes in midweek and are pushing for recalls, while midfielder Rhys McCabe, defender Martin Taylor and forward Gary Madine are all hoping to be involved.

The Owls are two points above the relegation zone and have suffered back-to-back defeats.

“With Cardiff away coming up on Tuesday night, a total of at least 4 points from that and tomorrow's games are required. If the Foxes arent careful they could find themselves out of the play off zone. Forest (I hate to say it) are unbeaten since Billy Davies went back, other teams are pickng up points while Leicester have only won one of their last SEVEN matches. Hardly promotion form.”

“If Konch is out, play Schlupp at left Back and play Dyer from the start on the left midfield/wide. They bring out the best in eachother.”

“Why not pray for a Sheff Weds win and you'll all get your wish if the stories are right.

Lose against Sheff Weds and he's gone!

Then you can all pick the next poor soul...

Me, I hope he stays and keeps moving us forward....”

“Rather than trying to push round pegs in square holes why not play with three centre halves and wing backs, suited MON, and we didn't do to bad with that system. I've thought for a while that it would suit our squad really well, give Knockers a bit more freedom to express his 'je ne sais quoi" or if not that his "mange toute, mange toute" rodney. My team for the run in.....

    Schmeichel

St Ledger (or Moore) Morgan Kean

    Drinkwater James
    Marshal(or De Laet) Knockaert Dyer

    Wood Nugent”
