Leicester woman Ayesha Mullan jailed for bigamy and sham marriage scam
A woman has been jailed for marrying a number of men to enable them to enter the UK illegally.
Ayesha Mullan (26) entered into sham marriages with Indian nationals whom she barely knew even though she was already married.
She was jailed at Downpatrick Crown Court in Northern Ireland for 15 months today after a ceremony at a local register office was raided by the UK Border Agency.
Mullan of Ellesmere Court, Braunstone Park, Leicester, admitted conspiring to assist unlawful immigration as well as bigamy.

Andrea Anderson, of the UK Border Agency said: "As this case shows, Northern Ireland is not a soft touch for this type of crime and we will prosecute those fraudsters who facilitate illegal immigration as well as those who have no right to be in the UK."
The would-be groom was jailed for 15 months last year and has since been deported to India.
