The death of a man at a gun club in Harborough Road, Kibworth Beauchamp, is not being treated as suspicious.

Police were called to Kibworth Gun Club, on the A6 at Kibworth Beauchamp, at 2.15pm on Friday following reports that a man had been shot.

Officers said the man's body was found near the club buildings, close to a range. Paramedics were called and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The victim, a man in his 50s, has not been named by police. Officers investigating the death have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

They are working with staff at the club to complete their inquiries and the case will be handed to the coroner, who will determine the circumstances of the man's death.
