Leicestershire music festivals pledge Loros hospice cash
Two music events have pledged their support to Loros in the charity's 25th anniversary.
Tribute festival Glastonbudget, in Wymeswold, in May, has named the hospice as its charity for 2010, while Leicestershire's Country Music Festival, in Hinckley, will also raise funds for Loros.
Glastonbudget, now in its sixth year, will feature tribute acts Hot Red Chili Peppers, The Smiffs, Coldplace and the Stereotonics and is expected to attract thousands of mockstar fans.
Loros will be involved in the build-up to the event as well as selling fancy dress costumes at the festival to raise funds. Glastonbudget will also be working with the charity at other events during the year to raise its profile
Leicestershire Country Music Festival, organised by Roy Ellis, is at a new venue this year – Hinckley Rugby Football Club. Proceeds will go to the Leicester Mercury Loros Appeal. We are hoping to raise £450,000 towards a £2m extension.
Glastonbudget is from Friday, May 28-30.
