Leicestershire powered lifting firm Lavendon sees profits rise by a third
Europe's leading supplier of rental powered access platforms said profits rose by at least 30 per cent to about £14 million last year.
Lavendon Group, of Lutterworth, announced yesterday its results for the year to December 31 were set "to be at the upper end of the board's expectations".

Bosses said total revenue was up 4 per cent to £225 million for the same period. The company, which trades as Nationwide Platforms in the UK, supplies the construction and maintenance sectors.
The group saw revenue in its UK business, which makes up just under half of total income, remain flat, while its Middle East operation, which accounts for 15 per cent of revenue, soared by more than a third.

Revenue in France was up 17 per cent during the year, while in Germany, which makes up a fifth of the business, it fell by 6 per cent.
Chief executive Don Kenny said: "The group has continued to make good progress in 2012, despite the challenging trading conditions in many of our European markets."
The group employs 200 people at its base in Central Park, Lutterworth which is just off junction 20 of the M1.
