Business leaders attend launch of Top 200 mag
More than 100 business people attended the launch of a magazine listing the top 200 companies in Leicestershire.
The Leicester Mercury's Top 200 magazine was unveiled at a breakfast event at the Holiday Inn in Leicester yesterday.
The listing, sponsored by Berkeley Insurance Group, of Leicester, was based on the turnover of companies whose registered head office was in Leicestershire or Rutland.
The information was put together with the help of De Montfort University and business information specialist Experian.

Enderby fashion chain Next was named the county's top business after reporting a turnover of £3.5 billion in the year to January 31.
Marketing and PR firm Champions (UK), of Costock, near Loughborough, was named the highest-climbing firm of the past three years after seeing turnover soar by £9.1 million to £10 million over this period.
Ian Griffin, Leicester Mercury business editor, said: "This magazine shows despite the gloom in the economy, this area contains some fantastic and growing businesses."
David Simms, Leicester Mercury publisher, said: "Congratulations to all those businesses who made the top 200."
