Leicester Mercury

We will soon be sending our photographers out to schools across the county to capture images of youngsters taking part in their nativities.

If you would like a picture of your school's nativity to feature in the Leicester Mercury, please let us know about it.

Whether it is a traditional nativity or something bang up to date, we want to hear about them all.

We do not want to disrupt your nativity on the day, so we will come to one of your dress rehearsals.

Andy Baker, Mercury chief photographer, said: "All our photographers love going to take nativity photographs – it really gets us in the Christmas spirit.

"The excitement of the children taking part is lovely to see, and really makes great photographs. We look forward to hearing from you! I would ask that you book as soon as you can to help us arrange to cover as many schools as possible."

If you would like our photographers to come to your school, send an email to the address below, putting "Nativity" in the subject box.

Please include the name and address of your school, a contact name and telephone number, and suggest dates and times when we could come along to take pictures.

Please give us two options if possible.

Schools must ensure, before the photographer arrives, that permission has been given by parents for their child to be photographed.
