Let there be even more light!
The future is bright for one tennis club which now has six floodlit courts and claims to be the most illuminated club in the county after the Leicestershire Tennis Club.
Oadby Granville Tennis Club's members can smash and volley their way into the night on all of their courts – thanks to the recent addition of floodlights to courts one and two.

The official lights switch-on took place at the beginning of the season and was performed by member Anna Howse, of Oadby, who joined the club in 1947 – just a year after it was formed.
She said: "It's very impressive. It's amazing to see all courts with floodlights. When I started we had hardly anything just a few basic courts and certainly no play at all during the winter after mid-afternoon. It's a joy to see how things have developed."
The extra illumination will be a big boost for junior coaching sessions and the club, in Leicester Road, Oadby, hopes to host more floodlit tournaments.
Avril Lennox, leisure development officer at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, said: "The additional floodlights will enable the club to increase participation, particularly with young people and will provide the borough with more evening activities for its younger players".
