Loan deals are not a priority for Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson
Nigel Pearson is not actively looking to bolster his Leicester City squad with loan signings.
The City boss said he was happy with the quality of his squad, despite a disappointing start to the campaign.
He is confident he has the players who can ensure a promotion challenge, although he would not completely rule out any deals.
City were yesterday linked with a loan move for Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Britannia Stadium.

"I am not necessarily looking to bring anyone in," said Pearson.
"I think we have the players in the squad who can make us successful, and we have been quite fortunate with injuries also.
"But I would not rule out bringing in players if we needed to."
City received an injury boost yesterday when scans revealed that Andy King's hamstring injury, which forced him off in the first half of Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Wolves at Molineux, is not as bad as first feared.
The Wales international will definitely miss tonight's visit of Burnley (7.45) and is a major doubt for Sunday's clash against Hull at the King Power Stadium, but Pearson said King would not be out for as long as they initially thought.
Defender Zak Whitbread could also be involved in the squad for the visit of the Clarets, while midfielder Richie Wellens is on course to return in the next couple of weeks after undergoing knee surgery last season.
"The scan results (on King) were better than expected, but we'll see how he goes in the next couple of days," said Pearson.
"I think we will have him back sooner rather than later. I suppose one of the positives from Sunday was that, although we lost him to an injury, we caught it quickly enough.
"Matty James went on and did a good job so we have some good cover. Neil Danns will also come into the squad.
"You have to deal with injuries sometimes but, hopefully, it will not be a long-term one.
"Zak and Richie are coming along well and they will both be back in contention very soon. That is good news for us.
"We have been a little bit unfortunate with some of our results and Sunday's game was frustrating, but we do feel there are a lot of positives in our performances, and with players becoming available now it gives us a shot in the arm."

“I wasn't prolonging it Dorset - sorry for giving that impression (just didn't see the need for the mispelling bit you added afterwards) - either way, glad you've both canned it.
I agree NP did a good job getting us up, Holloway might have done the same although that's irrelevant, a lot has happened since then. I wouldn't just blame fryatt, the whole team were poor when we went down, and they all knew it.
Regarding the NP Haters - I don't think everyone hates NP, even those who criticise him, it's just frustration. I also don't think it's unreasonable to expect things to be looking a bit more positive, the game of two halves thing is a bit of worry - as we have seen that when we do play - we can dominate possession, it's a mystery why we can't do it for longer. We are going to have to be straight out of the blocks against Hull.
I don't know if you have ever looked on the less strict forums - the comments about NP on here are almost polite. There are a lot of people who aren't happy, even after the win. And the phone in's and bootroom have a similar theme.
NP could do worse than being honest with the fans and facing up to them a bit more. I think people have learned after how O'neill was treated, but once he got things working (in 7 months using most of McGhee's team with 3 main additions Lennon, Izzet on loan and Claridge).
Admittedly McGhee left the team in a good place in the table, but O'neill demonstrated how to make the best of what you have, and to be fair the only stand out player of McGhee's team was Kaamark and maybe Taylor (not sure if he signed pre-McGhee).
Either way - Martin O'neill was a regular at the Fosse Restaurant fans nights, and Jongleurs question and answer sessions, and was a bit more accessible to the fans.
Many like me can hang our heads in shame and say we got it wrong about O'neill. But he earned the fans respect and trust, and did it in half a season. Like I said, NP would get more patience if we could empathise with him, but it's difficult when he doesn't engage the fans.”

“that's cool Kapero
contary to what you think , I dont go to bed with one of Norm's Nigel dollies- I just think as a man he is right- he has solid experience in the game and in particular at this level- he does not act and talk like a clown , as I H did, and his successs rate is pretty good.
I fully understand IH was at the wrong club at the wrong time but in my opinion his tenure here was very poor and we suffered- guess who changed it round!
I do get angry and passionate - NP does not deserve the daily abuse he gets from a dozen or so on here out of 24000- Who ever is in charge should and has to deliver so as with us all his days are numbered- I just have faith in the man- the Thai's dont need constant nudging- they will axe if need be, but in the mean time lets support the man in charge.”

“Dorset - line drawn and apologies for angering you. I actually had to snigger at your tongue in cheek apology to IH. Thing is, as Chappy touched on, you have to factor in the circumstances he found himself in. They were far from ideal. And he has gone on to prove his worth elsewhere.
In all truth, Fryatt's weak missed penalty against Sheffield Wed was more worthy of vitriol (given the abuse Kermit received with his playoff fail from the spot) given its contribution to our historic demise.
Any suggestions for a derogatory name for him?”

“Chappy- I have- why prolong it?
welcome back Norm- been away? actually it is all your fault- I got the 'hollowhead' word from you.
So mr Holloway I apologise and will not call you Hollowhead in the future- the fact that you took us down to the third division for the first time in our 125 years history should not give me a reason to call you Hollowhead.I deeply regret the fact that by calling you this deeply offensive word it may have caused distress to you and other members of this forum.
I hang my head in shame

“Moore just signed a new contract. Good he wants to stay.
Play him at RB (His best position) and drop De Laet as cover.”

“I think Beckford's attitude will get worse the more he sits on the bench. He stormed off last game because he wasn't played. Most managers would not put up with that. NP will have to either put him straight or give him his wish to leave. He does seem to have an attitude problem. I would have him so fired up from the bench that he would work his butt off when he came on. Good managers can motivate like that.”

“someone please be the judge on this Dorset vs Kapero thing..
I agree with your on topic bit Dorset,
off topic
Kapero has said why he felt wronged and apologised to all (which I would take as including you).
You have agreed to draw a line under it - can we just leave it that?”
