There was an upset as third-placed Blaby & Whetstone fell to a 4-1 midweek defeat at Thurnby Nirvana. Matt Melbourne and Reece Morris grabbed a brace apiece for the hosts, with Leon Doughty grabbing the only goal for the visitors.

Blaby's defeat came just days after the 5-1 thrashing of St Andrews.

Doughty and Dan Henfrey scored inside 30 minutes, paving the way for Jermaine Gordon to follow up with a stunning hat-trick. Rich Saunders got a late consolation for the Saints.

Aylestone Park slipped further adrift of the pack with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Holbrook Sports.

Anstey Nomads played out a 1-1 draw at Bardon Hill. Levi Knight struck first for the visitors before Marc Schulz equalised five minutes later.

Holwell Sports came from behind to register a narrow 2-1 win against Radcliffe Olympic. The hosts found themselves 1-0 down after just 13 minutes but goals from Ben Smedley and Sam Bettison grabbed all three points.

Ibstock United fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Graham St Prims.
