Kirkland and Markfield Vets needed penalties to secure their semi-final places in the County Veterans Cup.

Both their ties finished 1-1, Kirkland against Oadby Owls and Markfield against Birstall Stamford, before spot-kicks decided the issue.

Dunton Broughton Rangers sailed comfortably through by beating Midland Co-op 4-0.

In the Leicester City League Premier Division, Burbage Cross Keys Vets beat St Patricks OB 4-1 thanks to Steve Ward, Scott Mackey, Ian Prewitt and James Crossfield. Daz Bradley replied.

Premier Sports OB thrashed Braunstone Trinity 6-0 in Division One. Warren Murphy (2), Lloyd Nelson, Scott Beaseley, Gez Ferns and Ant Day were their scorers.

Sharnford OB managed half a dozen against Birstall Eagle Vets in Division Two, with Ant Richings (3), Dave Richings (2) and Russ Burrows on target.

The Division Three clash between Horse & Trumpet and Lutterworth Vets ended 1-1.

Jason Holley secured all three points for Brandon Leys in Division Four. His strike was enough to sink Park End 74 Vets 1-0.

FC Khalsa Vets beat Leicester Academicals 1-0 thanks to Amerjit Sanghra.
