London Irish decision 'a good move for Phibbs'
Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said he was "delighted" that Aussie scrum-half Pat Phibbs had secured a place in the London Irish squad after completing his move from Leicester.
The 31-year-old joined up with the Exiles in time to make his debut on the bench in the defeat by Harlequins at Twickenham on Saturday.
Phibbs spent six months at Leicester after coming in pre-season on a four-month contract.
"We considered keeping Pat longer term because he has been really good for us," said Cockerill.

"All of the guys who worked with him benefited from his experience but, in the professional game, there are only so many places in the squad. I am delighted he has secured another opportunity."
