The exhibition will be formally opened by David Taylor, MP for North West Leicestershire.
The Pleasures will have to be seen to be appreciated, but the Potions will show a range of the then over the counter medications which could be purchased at the corner shop as well as at the chemist or apothecary.
The Pastimes will demonstrate the games and hobbies that people did before computers took over the universe.
The museum, situated in the Stone House, 4 Apiary Gate, signposted from the Market Place, will be open on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 2pm to 4.30pm (except May Day from 9.30am to 4.30pm) and Saturdays from 9am to noon.
Admission is free, but donations towards running costs would be appreciated.
Free parking (subject to signed restrictions) is available in surrounding streets, but visitors are requested not to park in Apiary Gate.
