MUSIC: Midnight Hour at Olive's Bar, Leicester
They only formed a few months ago but Midnight Wire are already in the middle of a 25-date national tour, have just released their debut single, Oh Lola, and are working on the tracks for an album release hopefully later this year.
They've actually just had a few days off before a show in Brighton tonight, which is lucky for singer Alex Van Roose as his voice has developed a distinctly husky quality after a few nights on the road.

So Alex is on the honey and lemon, but was still happy to tell The Week how it's all been going.
"It's gone really well, we had a show in the Isle of Wight and ended up staying for an extra date – we played in a hotel in exchange for a free room and food, which was quite cool.
"We've got a real mix of venues – there's the show in Coventry coming up which is about 3,000 people so that should be really good. The Leicester show is in Olives, which is tiny, so it should be packed. We've done open mics and stuff there so it'll be good to do a proper gig."
The single is out now on iTunes and all the usual online outlets, with an accompanying video, filmed partly at the Dublin Castle, in Camden, and partly in an old mental asylum.
"It was a bit weird, seeing it all finished but we were really happy with the recording and the video," says Alex. "We're working on the second single now and then getting ready for the festivals. We should find out in the next month or so which ones we'll be playing."
