Mail beats targets
Royal Mail beat performance targets in Leicestershire between April and December 2012 with 93.4 per cent of first class mail delivered on time – the next day after posting.
The company said it exceeded its second class mail and standard retail parcels quality targets in the first three quarters of the financial year 2012/13, with the vast majority of mail delivered on or ahead of target.
The business delivered 98.6 per cent of second class mail three working days after posting in the April to December period, ahead of the 98.5 per cent target.

“Which all goes to fully justify the teeny-tiny price hike this April of, for example, over 236% for a second class parcel of 250g with dimensions larger than 16x16x16cm, which would actually be cheaper to airmail to Australia!”
