Making solid case for new investment
A company which makes customised cases is doubling the size of its premises and taking on new staff.
Management at Trifibre in Beaumont Leys are making the move to cope with growing demand.

The company designs and manufactures flight cases, waterproof cases, padded bags, exhibition cases and other specialist packaging for clients ranging from exhibition organisers to the military, medical services and blue chip corporations.
Trifibre, which was launched in 1991 to make cases for the exhibition and display industry, has 48 staff on the shop floor and 15 in the office team at its premises in Gorse Hill Industrial Estate.
It has now taken on the lease of a neighbouring unit and will double its floor space to 70,000 sq ft from January.
Managing director Nigel Cox said: "It's still tough but we continue to expand and have been very, very busy, and are looking to take on 10 people in January and a further 20 during the rest of next year.
"We will have a turnover of £4 million this year and with the expansion should take that to over £5 million next year. After that we will then be looking at 30 per cent year-on-year growth.
"We have found the right market, but do work hard at it and have a very dedicated sales team."
He said overseas orders now accounted for 23 per cent of business and were the biggest growth areas.
Mr Cox said fitting out the new unit, including new machinery and wiring, was costing £80,000-£90,000.
Louise White, the company's field sales executive, said: "The business has always listened to its customers and that is still very much the ethos. To do that we work to our customer requirements.
"We're still designing, manufacturing and supplying all our cases and exporting to Europe, Canada and the US.
"We moved here three years ago from Thurmaston Road and we've just outgrown the building.
"The unit we are moving into was vacated by the previous tenant in 2010 and we're now in the process of knocking through into it.
"The amount of demand we've experienced is phenomenal – and that's through sheer grit and determination, investment, the right workforce and recognising customer requirements."
The company has supplied casing used by acts such as Paul Weller, Genesis, the Kinks, and AC/DC.
Last summer the company had an order to design of a protective sea proof container to house their client's two tonne shipping fenders.
