Mammoth sculpture in Watermead Country Park vandalised
A park sculpture of a mammoth has been daubed with graffiti.
White paint was used to spray tags on the statue at Watermead Country Park.

Stewart Doughty, Leicester City Council parks manager, said: "Fortunately, incidents of vandalism at Watermead are rare.
"The mammoth is a very popular landmark and I'm sure visitors will share our disappointment that it has been vandalised in this way."

The council said the graffiti was removed yesterday morning.
The Millennium Mammoth, created by Daniel Fraser Jones and paid for by the council and cycle charity Sustrans, is made of cement on a steel frame.
It was inspired by mammoth bones found in nearby gravel pits.

“As I said to my Mam in the 80's.. All the idiots have had kids and having trained those kids to be idiots, the idiot kids, kids are now highly trained in the art of being idiots.
30 years on here we are...
This sort of thing is the norm for these people who have been allowed by several governments and authorities to stick 2 fingers up to the hard working, law abiding folk and become almost untouchable by a European law and (dis-) order system that gives Human rights to the criminals over and above the good guys.
What chance do we have.
So expect more reports like this..............”
