Man arrested after woman shot dead in Hinckley
A man has been arrested after a woman was shot dead at house in Hinckley.
Police were called to an home in the town’s Sunnydale Road, at about 10.15pm yesterday following reports of a shooting.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and found a woman the house in Hinckley with a single shot wound. She was confirmed dead at the scene.”
An area around the house has been cordoned off of while police carry out their inquiries.

The arrested man is being held in custody and questioned by detectives.
The police spokesman added: “Inquiries are still in the early stages and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.”
