Man in court after siege
A 26-year-old man has appeared in court following a five-hour police siege.
The incident happened in Mulberry Avenue, Braunstone Frith, Leicester, on Sunday.
The man has been charged with arson, false imprisonment, making threats to kill and assaulting a 20-year-old woman.
He is also accused of assaulting the same woman in the city centre on September 22, and assaulting a 26-year-old man on the same date.

He was remanded in custody by city magistrates yesterday to appear at Leicester Crown Court on October 15.
