A man has died in a car accident near his home.

Paul Boyt, 45, of North Kilworth, died when his green Mini Cooper left the road and landed in a ditch.

The accident happened at 1.30am on Saturday, on the A4304 Lutterworth Road, in North Kilworth.

Mr Boyt was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Constable David Sharpe, who is investigating the incident, said: "I would like to appeal to anyone who was travelling along the A4304 at around this time.

"Were you travelling between Lutterworth and North Kilworth in the early hours of Saturday morning? Do you remember seeing this vehicle before the incident? If so then please get in touch."
