Man dies after collision with cyclist in Long Clawson, Leicestershire

A man in his 80s has died after being involved in a collision with a cyclist on a country lane.

The accident occurred in Hose Lane, Long Clawson, shortly after 9am on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire police said: "The pedestrian, who was in his 80s, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham where he later died. The cyclist was uninjured."

The spokesperson said the cyclist was travelling towards Hose when the accident happened 110 yards north east of Highfield Farm.
