Man killed in crash on the A6006 at Shoby, near Melton
A man was killed in a crash on the A6006 at Shoby, near Melton.
The collision, involving a Land Rover Discovery and an articulated Renault lorry, happened on a stretch of road known locally as the Shoby Bends at about 6.10am on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash
Emergency services attended and a 34-year-old front seat passenger of the Land Rover was pronounced dead at the scene. He has yet to be formally identified.
The car's remaining two occupants were taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The A6006 was closed for almost 10 hours between Loughborough Road and the B676 Six Hills Lane while crash investigators examined the scene and the road was cleared. The road reopened just before 4pm.
A 54-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, and bailed until June 4.
