Mehmet Salih, 41, a Cypriot national, is wanted for alleged drug offences believed to have been committed in Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. In May last year he is believed to have visited Lincolnshire for the purposes of delivering cocaine and collecting payment. The police recovered large amounts of cocaine and upon his arrest, Salih was found in possession of £20,000. Salih is one of nine individuals wanted as part of this fugitive campaign, known as Operation Zygos, with the list containing wanted criminals linked with offences involving drug offences, fraud and serious sexual offences.
This campaign follows on from similar appeals in Spain and The Netherlands, which together have resulted in dozens of wanted fugitives being brought to justice.

“@ vanip; I think you're confused - it would appear he was arrested previously and (I suspect) skipped bail and scarpered to Cyprus; (plus, I don't think it would be in the interest of justice to simply deport any suspected foreign criminal upon initial arrest)...”
