Meeting to discuss tackling yobbish behaviour in Belgrave, Leicester
Police officers and council officials are to meet this week to consider how best to tackle yobs' anti-social behaviour.
The meeting is to take place after a petition, started by a teenage resident, called for action to combat the troublemakers in Belgrave, in Leicester.
The petition, which has more than 60 names on it and was handed to the council by councillor Manjula Sood last month, is calling for more and better lighting in the streets around the Cossington Street recreation ground.
Coun Sood said: "This is a step in the right direction to try to end the misery suffered by these residents.
"It is hoped the meeting will give us some definite way forward to try to beat these night-time bullies."
The city council and police have a dispersal order covering every street in both Belgrave and Latimer wards.
