Midlands title for Blockley
Blaby teenager Callum Blockley has been crowned Midlands CYP champion.
Blockley posted a third points win over Jake Doody (Wednesbury) in their Class B match at 57kgs to book his place in the pre-quarter finals, in Cheshunt, on Sunday.
Earl Shilton club-mate Sean Bruce has been handed a bye through to the semi finals in Class A at 50kgs, where he will meet Mohammad Ali, from Bury, who is a highly-rated prospect.
Noel Gilbert bowed out after a third-round loss to England international Connor Jones (Lions).
