Shareholders at homeware chain Dunelm have voted overwhelmingly in favour of paying themselves £65.8 million.

The board of the group, the UK's largest homeware retailer, decided on the move after building up the cash pile on its balance sheet.

The Adderley family, which founded the business from a Leicester market stall in 1979, will receive £46.7 million.
