Motor sport: Richards' sensational win
Glen Richards lost his lead in the Motorpoint British Supersports Championship, but arguably produced the ride of the day at Donington Park.
The Hinckley rider crashed out of race one but, starting 23rd on the grid for the second, cut through the field to claim a sensational victory over 15 laps.
It means Richards lies second overall with 300 points, just 10.5 behind leader Jack Kennedy. His Smiths Racing Triumph team-mate Billy McConnell is third on 261.
Richards looked in great form at the county circuit, taking pole for the opening race. But it all went wrong on the opening lap when he crashed out at Goddards.

Yamaha's Kennedy went on to win, and reclaim the series lead, with McConnell second and Christian Iddon (Triumph) third.
Richards more than made up for the disappointment in race two. He produced a remarkable ride to shoot into second with four laps remaining, and then made a brilliant overtaking manoeuvre on Kennedy to seal a superb win. McConnell had to settle for a safe fourth.
Richards: "I was really down after the crash, especially as it happened in the most bizarre of circumstances.
"The front tyre ran over a discarded tear-off and just folded on me with no warning, so coming from 23rd on the grid was a tall order.
"I just got my head down and came out fighting. I'd have been happy with a podium, so to get the win is brilliant."
There are three rounds left in the championship, the next being at Assen on September 23.
