Muggers target dad as he pushed daughter in wheelchair
A man was mugged as he pushed his daughter along a canal towpath in her pushchair.
The 19-year-old victim was targeted by two men as he pushed his child alongside the Grand Union Canal, near Abbey Park, Leicester.
One of the attackers asked him for a light but his accomplice searched his pockets, stealing cash, cigarettes and a lighter.
The victim chased one of the suspects but the pair escaped.

The attack happened at 11.30am on Monday, September 24. Police released details and appealed for witnesses yesterday. Pc Waheed Nagdi said: "Although the victim wasn't hurt it was an extremely distressing incident for him and we need to catch those responsible.
"We know there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen the victim chase one of the suspects.
"If you witnessed any aspect of this incident we would urge you to contact us."
The first suspect is white, 25 to 30, 6ft, and of medium build, with a light brown goatee-style beard. He was wearing a light blue beanie hat, grey jumper and light brown military-style trousers.
The second suspect is white, 18 to 25, about 5ft 9ins, and slim, and has short, black hair. He was wearing a white hooded jacket, with the hood pulled up over his head, and dark tracksuit bottoms.

“Crimes against the disabled have been increasing dramatically and is it any wonder with the attitude of governments and the media to disabled people. It's fine sponsoring the para-Olympians etc but these are exceptional disabled people that have been able to do exceptionally well in a chosen sport. Others are seen as just benefit claimants to be derided by government ministers and much of the media most of the time. Is it really any wonder then that they are attacked by cowardly thugs.”
